Under kvartalet tog vi nästa viktiga steg i SAS FORWARD och inledde kapitalanskaffningsprocessen. Vi gör framsteg i chapter 11-processen i USA och i arbetet med att nå de övergripande målen inom ramen för SAS FORWARD-planen. Som offentliggjordes efter kvartalets slut återupptar vi även en direktlinje från Köpenhamn till Bangkok, Thailand och vi adderar flygningar till Agadir, Marocko, på veckobasis, med start under hösten. Vi återupptar också trafiken till Tokyo i juni. Vi har infört tre nya interkontinentala direktlinjer från Aalborg till New York, från Göteborg till New York och från Köpenhamn till New York. Vi har lagt till ytterligare 10 linjer för den kommande sommaren och hösten, utöver de 20 nya linjerna som adderades under första kvartalet. Under kvartalet fortsatte vi att öka vår kapacitet inför sommaren och hösten, och lade till nya destinationer och fler avgångar till populära destinationer. Vi ser fram emot en sommarsäsong med hög aktivitet och att flyga våra passagerare till deras semesterdestinationer. Vi är glada att den underliggande efterfrågan på resor var god under kvartalet, trots den ekonomiska osäkerhet som råder i samhället i stort. 5,4 miljoner passagerare flög med SAS under kvartalet, en ökning med 36 procent jämfört med motsvarande period föregående år. Sommarsäsongen närmar sig och vi noterade en fortsatt positiv utveckling i efterfrågan från passagerare under andra kvartalet. We are running a competitive and broad solicitation process to secure capital that will help drive our airline forward and facilitate our emergence from the Chapter 11 process in the US. ![]() During the quarter, we took the next key step in SAS FORWARD – initiating the equity solicitation process. We are making progress in our Chapter 11 process in the US and in reaching our overall targets in the SAS FORWARD plan. ![]() We are also resuming traffic to Tokyo in June, and as announced after the quarter ended, we are bringing back a direct route from Copenhagen to Bangkok, Thailand as well as adding weekly flights to Agadir, Morocco, starting this autumn. We have inaugurated three new direct intercontinental routes, from Aalborg to New York, from Gothenburg to New York, and from Copenhagen to New York. We have added another 10 routes for the upcoming summer and autumn, in addition to the 20 new routes announced in the first quarter. The island of Pasas features a lighthouse which from 1995 has been converted to solar power, a military building with a permanent army garrison, and a heliport. The island's name Pasas derives from the Ottoman-era term Pasha, while Panagia derives from the Greek name for Virgin Mary.ĭuring the European migrant crisis, Pasas has been in the frontline of Greek islands that have witnessed the arrival of immigrants from Turkey. Since 1995, the lighthouse has been converted to solar power and it keeps a permanent staff. The most notable building on the island is the old lighthouse which was built in 1863 and has a height of 8.5 meters. According to 2011 census, the island is uninhabited, although a guard of lighthouse lives often there and a military garrison is permanently stationed on it. ![]() With an area of 2.448 km 2, it is the second largest island of the complex. Administratively, Pasas and the rest of the islands form the Oinousses municipality within the Chios regional unit.
